STACY DUMONT: FOR THE PEOPLE OF PATTERSON
If you are reading this, we have something important in common: we both live in Patterson, New York, and for our own special reasons.
My reasons have accumulated over the 33 years. But I see more. I want to serve as a Town Councilwoman who will lift Patterson to its potential for its current residents, and for generations to come.
I am a candidate for Patterson Town Council running on the Democratic and IndependentVoter lines. The election is Nov. 4, 2025.

I am STACY DUMONT, a resident of Patterson for over 33 years. I am running for election to the Patterson Town Council, where I would represent and serve you, the Patterson resident.
As a Town Councilwoman, I will utilize my strengths of communication, research and collaboration to work directly with Town, County and State legislators in improving Patterson and enriching the lives Patterson residents.
As a member of the working middle class with adult children, I understand the need for life’s necessities to be accessible and affordable for our next generations to flourish and follow their dreams.
I will be a bridge to opportunity for an energized Town and for Patterson residents!
My husband and I raised our three children here, and I wish to help make Patterson a place which entices young people to return to build their enterprise, their community and their families, and enjoy Patterson’s natural resources.
My focus is to also ensure that our long-time residents have the means to remain in a Town they love, and that our Patterson Community is supported.
MY PLANS to work with Patterson Town Board include:
- Creating a committee for Tourism and Recreation to increase new revenue for Patterson and stabilize taxes
- Working to revisit the Patterson Comprehensive Plan to attract new business to our Town and rehab our underutilized treasure of Front Street
- Recreate a Patterson newsletter to keep residents informed
- Work with the Board and PLPD to finally get Putnam Lake clean through funding, grants and septic management for permanent solutions.
As a current high school teacher of students with special needs, I am naturally an advocate for the people, and of clear and informative communication. This is my wheelhouse.
As a long-time resident, I recognize the further potential of Patterson. I know how to work as part of a team to improve quality of life here in Patterson and Putnam Lake.
As a cofounder of an 25 year-old arts org, I know first-hand the power of creating community, both small and large scale.
As an environmentalist, I will protect your health and that of the Earth by working on sustainable initiatives.
